October 15 every year is Global Handwashing day! Since handwashing is an important goal in my Peace Corps program, and because it is just good in general, we had a big celebration in my site to celebrate this important day. We started off our celebration with a parade with all of the Mother's Clubs in my province, lead by a band from a local school, and we had school kids following behind with posters they made in their classes about the importance of handwashing.

Once back in the main square we held a handwashing demonstration with all of the important steps in the handwashing process with the kids and members of the health post.
